Speakers Profiles:

Aaron Aw, Distinct Creative Arts

Aaron started out breakdancing in the void decks of Serangoon ten years ago. His passion for dance and youth culture eventually led him to a mentoring role in the Singapore Boys Home. His time as a mentor inspired him to start In The Making - a youth outreach dance programme where at-risk or underprivileged youth receive the chance to train under dedicated dance instructors. In its sixth installment since 2011, In The Making has seen over 500 youths graduated from the programme as of 2016. Aaron co-founded Distinct Creative Arts (DCA), a social enterprise that creates a pathway for dancers to carve a career out of dance education. By using dance as a means of empowering, educating and transforming, DCA reaches out to a thousand youths every week. DCA - and Aaron personally - aims to make every single life count.

JJ Chan, EV Dance

JJ Chan started out with ballet at age six before settling in with Hip Hop under the tutelage of Ms Ann Tan in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's New Revolving Age (NRA). An entrepreneur, she founded EV Dance in 2009 - a dance education company where she actively coaches students and grooms budding new instructors in their teaching careers. She is also the creator of Swaggout; a local dance event that aims to bridge the gap with choreographers and dancers around the globe. Most recently, EV Dance acquired a dance studio in February 2016. JJ is also the Resident Choreographer at NRA.

Melissa Lim, All Out Lifestyle

Melissa Lim, with Robin Teh, took the plunge to organize their first ever collaborative dance battle in 2011 and never looked back since then. She has been assisting with All Out Lifestyle (AOL) - an outfit that aims to deliver street dance culture knowledge and most importantly, showcase Singaporean talents. Despite having no prior event management experience, AOL prides itself on creating events that grows the lion city dance scene.

Melissa is also one of the most decorated dancers in the Singapore street dance circuit, having competed and won multiple local competitions.

Richard Prayoga, RPProductions

Richard Prayoga started his YouTube channel, RPProductions, because of a need from the street dance scene: there were no consistent video footage. Now a freelance videographer, Richard has received invitations global dance organisers to cover dance events. RPProductions is the appointed videographer for Radikal Forze Anniversary Jam, Singapore Dance Delight, Lion City Throwdown as well as Super24.

With a growing subscriber count close to 17,000 and a current total of 5 million views on his YouTube channel, Richard has plans to make his channel recognisable in the international dance scene and most importantly to showcase what this little red dot has to offer.
